Bread and butter or Bread and peanut?

Honestly speaking, it doesn't matter which one it is, we all have what we call varieties and flavour. It could be bread and honey, or bread and cheese, or even bread and tomato stew, and we can simply love it all or love none of it at all.

Unfortunately, we are currently living in a world run by humans, meaning it naturally comes with all the emotions, desires, and self-centered tendencies. We see people arguing every single day on the internet about the most mundane things. "You eat your bread with that? You are weird!" Or "Why would anyone dress like this?" But fortunately, we are in a great time where people are now more allowed to have an opinion, and having a voice is gradually getting established as the standard. And to be very honest, it is actually best that the world is run by us, because only we humans currently understand nuances, objectivity, and subjectivity in greater depth.

The Value of Individuality

Having a choice, a personal standard, or a preference for the type of things you like is really quite good and healthy. It is what makes life colourful! Imagine if we all liked the exact same things, drove the exact same cars, ate the exact same food, and listened to the exact same music. The world would be incredibly boring. Our preferences are part of our identity.

However, there are certain extreme behaviors, choices, or harmful actions that cross social and moral boundaries. When a person's conduct becomes reckless, dangerous, or harmful to society, it requires intervention, boundary-setting, or professional help to restore balance and keep everyone safe.

The crucial bit is, it is very good that we have our own uniqueness and taste, but let us not take things too far to the point that it begins to negatively impact us, our immediate surroundings, or other innocent people around us. That won't be great at all! There is a huge difference between having a unique personality and engaging in destructive behavior disguised as "just being myself." If your version of "bread and butter" involves hurting others or destroying the peace of your community, then that is no longer just a preference—it is an issue that needs addressing.

Balancing Freedom and Responsibility

  • Respect Diverse Opinions: Allow others the space to enjoy their personal preferences without passing unnecessary judgment.
  • Practice Self-Awareness: Regularly check in on whether your personal habits are constructively adding value to your life or causing friction with those around you.
  • Seek Support When Needed: If you notice destructive habits taking over your personal life, seek guidance, professional counseling, or advice early on.

So please, enjoy the goodies of life, contribute to its goodness and flavour, and ensure you keep a sound mind and a healthy perspective along the way. Let us be kind to one another while we enjoy our different flavors of life. Lol, I come in peace and never in pieces. The End.
